1. Do you charge an entrance fee for swimming?
No. Rockpoint is classified by the Dept. of Tourism as a standard hotel and not a public resort. However, you have to be an " in-house" guest (checked-in) to be able to use the hotspring swimming pools and other facilities. You can either book a room for an overnight stay or for a whole day stay. In both cases, the type of room you rent out determines the number of guests that can use the pool facilities. If you book a deluxe dormitory, ( it can accommodate 10 persons), that means, 10 persons can use the pool.
2. I called your office and the receptionist gave me the room rate. Is that "per person" or "per room?
The rate is per room basis. Private rooms are good for 2 persons. The rate also includes complimentary breakfast for 2 and free use of swimming pools. We also have maximized rooms, ideal for groups. Rates for maximized occupancy also includes complimentary American breakfast. We offer a variety of guest rooms depending on your budget and capacity Click Rooms & Reservation to find out about our room classifications.
3. How much deposit is required to reserve a guest room?
We require full payment of guest rooms in order to confirm a booking. If a room was reserved but no payment or deposit was made, it is only considered a 'tentative' booking. Only rooms that have been fully paid in advance are 'confirmed' bookings. Therefore the hotel has blocked it and not available for rent for other parties unless the guest cancels the reservation.
4. How do I book a room? I don't have a credit card. I will pay in cash.
You need to call the resort to inquire the availability of room. If the room of your choice is available, you can go to any BPI Branch (Bank of Phil. Islands) and deposit the full amount. Bank details will be dictated to you by our Reservations Staff. For step by step procedure, click Booking Options.
5. What is the required swimming attire?
We require proper swimming attire – bathing suits, trunks, light-colored shorts. Please do not wear dark colored t-shirts or shorts (especially denim shorts) as they make the pool water very dirty. If you feel shy, you may wear a light colored top and shorts only. Also, please take a good shower before using the pool.
6. Can we bring food and drinks inside the resort?
We do not allow bringing of food and drinks inside the resort. This is in line with our company's aim to keep and maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the premises. In the past, guests who would bring cooked food and beverages did not dispose of their garbage correctly and this caused insect infestation inside the guest rooms. We would like to keep the surroundings clean for everyone to enjoy their stay.
We have a restaurant (Lava Grill) that offers delicious food at very affordable prices and large portions. There is also room service facilities in case you wish to dine in your room in private. At any rate, we make sure that all food served inside the rooms are bussed out properly and all possible contaminants are disposed of.
7. If I bring alcoholic drinks and cooked food, is there a "corkage charge?"
Yes, food and drinks brought inside the resort shall be subject to corkage fee.
This is for safety reasons. We have no control of what guests bring inside the resort. We do not know the quality of food or beverage they bring. If they get sick because of spoiled food which they brought in, we don't want them to blame it on our restaurant food.
Corkage for Cooked Food
Corkage fee depends on the food you bring. For cooked food, we normally charge a fixed P50.00 per person rate per day. Eg. Menudo good for 10 person – P500 corkage. In excess of one viand, we charge P 200 per viand.
